About the Opportunity
Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist looking for a dynamic, full-time role for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year? We're actively seeking a dedicated School-Based SLP to join our team in the New London, New Hampshire area. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact across multiple age groups, working with a diverse K-12th grade caseload and providing services across two school sites.
We welcome applications from both ASHA-certified SLPs (CCC-SLP) and Clinical Fellows (CFY) who are eager to gain comprehensive school-based experience under supportive supervision. This role is perfect for a collaborative professional committed to fostering communication skills and academic success in students from kindergarten through high school.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to a K-12th grade caseload, addressing a wide range of communication needs including articulation, phonology, language (receptive and expressive), fluency, voice, and social communication.
- Conduct thorough evaluations, interpret assessment results, and write compliant reports for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to student needs across various developmental stages.
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom-based settings across two assigned school sites.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other school personnel to integrate communication goals into daily learning and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and IEPs, adhering to district and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Adapt therapy activities and strategies to suit the diverse needs and learning styles of students from elementary to high school.
- For CFYs: Actively engage in supervision, adhering to all ASHA and state requirements to earn your CCC-SLP.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of New Hampshire is REQUIRED.
- Open to both ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) holders and Clinical Fellows (CFY) seeking supervision.
- Prior experience working in a school setting with K-12th grade populations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the IEP process, special education law, and school-based service delivery models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, particularly for managing a caseload across multiple sites.
- A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and empowering students to reach their full communication potential.
- Reliable transportation for travel between school sites.
