Remote AAC Specialist SLP Oregon Contracts
We are hiring a contract SLP with expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to provide remote services for Oregon students. This 1099 role focuses on evaluating and supporting students with complex communication needs using a variety of assistive technologies. You’ll work as part of multidisciplinary teams to ensure equitable access to communication.
Responsibilities:

Conduct virtual AAC evaluations for students with communication challenges

Recommend high- and low-tech communication tools

Support device trials and family training remotely

Provide direct therapy incorporating AAC devices

Document progress and adjust programming as needed

Train staff and paraprofessionals on AAC use

Collaborate with AT specialists and special educators

Write clear, thorough AAC evaluation reports

Develop IEP goals that reflect AAC integration

Ensure all therapy aligns with IDEA and Oregon standards

Consult on appropriate funding and insurance processes
-
Stay updated on AAC technologies and best practices
-
Maintain detailed data on device use and communication outcomes

Provide follow-up support for device troubleshooting

Host virtual workshops for teams and families

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
