A school district in Forest, Mississippi is currently seeking qualified and dedicated professionals for two full-time direct hire positions for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year: one Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and one Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Position Summary:
The SLP will work with K–12 students to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of communication disorders. The therapist will also collaborate with educational staff and families to support each student’s unique goals, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities Include:

Conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations
-
Developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Providing direct therapy services in individual and group settings
-
Monitoring and documenting student progress
-
Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Supervising SLPAs (if applicable)
-
Maintaining timely and accurate documentation
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Mississippi SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
-
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
-
School-based experience is a plus but not required
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Position Summary:
The SLPA will support students with speech and language needs under the supervision of a licensed SLP. This role includes delivering therapy services, assisting in therapy planning, and maintaining documentation.
Responsibilities Include:

Delivering speech-language therapy services as directed by supervising SLP

Preparing materials and implementing therapy plans

Documenting therapy sessions and student progress

Supporting generalization of skills in classroom settings

Collaborating with educational staff and service teams

Participating in training and supervision activities
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field

Valid Mississippi SLPA license (or eligibility for licensure)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Experience in educational settings is preferred but not required
