Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Schedule: 4–5 Days per Week (Flexible)
Setting: Onsite – School-Based
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Hickory, NC. This position offers a manageable caseload and a supportive district environment—perfect for an SLP who values collaboration and meaningful student impact.
Caseload Information:

Approximately 25 students currently, with potential for gradual growth as new evaluations are completed.

Mixed caseload including High School, Middle School, and some Pre-K students (no current elementary caseload).

Services include a mix of direct therapy and consultative support.

Covers about 4 locations, all within a small, geographically close district.
Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy to students across assigned schools.

Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support communication goals.

Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes per district and state standards.

Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on goals and accommodations.

Adapt therapy plans to meet the diverse needs of Pre-K through secondary students.
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Valid North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility for licensure).
-
ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CFs welcome to apply).

Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred.

Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
