Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School-Based Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students to enhance their physical well-being, improve mobility, and support overall development. Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' physical therapy needs and develop individualized plans.
Intervention and Treatment: Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to address students' challenges, improve motor skills, and enhance overall functional abilities.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and school staff regarding students' progress, treatment plans, and recommendations.
Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in pediatric physical therapy and participate in relevant professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
License: Valid MN state license to practice physical therapy.
Experience: Previous experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a school-based environment and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Passion: Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting their physical well-being.
