Qualifications & Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license or eligibility for licensure in Mississippi
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowships (CFs) considered
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Dedication to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to address students’ communication needs in individual and group settings
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Educate staff and families on strategies to enhance communication skills within the classroom and at home
