Speech Language Pathologist in Indio, CA
A specialized role for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is available in an elementary school setting based in Indio, CA. This opportunity is contracted for the current school year (CSY) and focuses on providing comprehensive speech therapy services to meet student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions to elementary students in accordance with their individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and document progress with clear, detailed reports.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust intervention strategies.
- Provide teletherapy services when applicable to ensure consistent and accessible student support.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech-language pathology services in schools.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school settings as an SLP, with knowledge of elementary student needs.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or completed.
- Proficiency in delivering teletherapy services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
