Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary and/or middle school caseloads, preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, especially with young learners, families, and school staff
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload effectively
- Compassionate, flexible, and collaborative approach to student care
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices to help students achieve their communication goals
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation for assessments and progress notes
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to maximize student success
- Participate in meetings, IEP development, and ongoing professional development
- Adapt therapy techniques as appropriate for different age levels and classroom needs
