Speech and Language Pathologist in Helotes, TX
An exciting short-term opportunity in Helotes, TX is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential maternity leave coverage at two elementary schools. This contract role allows you to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with speech and language needs during critical months in the school calendar. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person speech-language therapy services to students (with flexibility to review virtual candidates)
- Supervise an SLP Assistant to ensure effective support and compliance with treatment plans
- Prepare and participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings for 95+ students at one campus and approximately 50 students at the other
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services primarily from February 1–April 30 at one elementary school and from approximately March 10–May 30 at another
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: SLP Credentialed (CCC) with experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor SLP Assistants
- Strong organizational skills to manage ARD documentation and caseloads
- Willingness to work primarily in-person, with openness to teletherapy as needed
- Experience supporting diverse student populations and ages in elementary schools
