The assignment runs from January through May 22, 2026, with a set schedule focused on providing targeted speech therapy services and assessments. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students Monday through Thursday, with Fridays dedicated to conducting assessments.
- Share caseload management with a colleague, creating an effective, flexible service schedule without lead involvement.
- Support a current caseload of approximately 58 students, including about 9 primary-level pupils.
- Utilize para support to assist with student transitions to therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate case management and participate in IEP development, preferably using PowerSchool or a similar system.
- Adhere to Alabama state regulations and procedural standards in educational therapy delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Alabama SLP license required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in school-based speech therapy, including remote service provision.
- Familiarity with Alabama laws and educational policies, with particular emphasis on speech therapy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a two-therapist team environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage a sizable caseload effectively.
Location & Schedule:
- Position is based in Harvest, Alabama within a school setting.
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- School hours begin at 7:45 AM CST.
- Contract runs from the start of January semester through May 22, 2026.
