School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Hayward, California
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist role is open within a K-12 school setting in Hayward, CA. This contract position, spanning the current school year, offers an opportunity to support a diverse student caseload while collaborating closely with faculty, parents, and related service providers.
Responsibilities include administering and reporting on academic assessments, attending IEP meetings, and consulting with stakeholders regarding student progress and needs. The role requires maintaining compliance with current special education regulations, developing and implementing student modification plans, and assisting with master schedule development to meet IEP demands. The position also involves case management in accordance with IDEA guidelines, data tracking for IEP services, and ensuring equitable access to Common Core standards for students with disabilities. Collaboration is key to reviewing student data, co-planning, co-teaching, and supervising paraprofessional support, including scheduling and IEP implementation oversight. Additional duties encompass adherence to federal, state, and SELPA record-keeping regulations and delivering health and mobility supports under the school nurse's supervision.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech Language Pathologist License
- Experience working in California schools preferred
- EIPA score certificate, Written Knowledge Test certificate, coaching report, certification exam proof, or completion of an interpreter training program
- Strong organizational and communication skills
