Travel School Speech Therapist | Harvey, Louisiana
A full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Harvey, Louisiana, supporting elementary schools primarily on the west bank. This travel assignment offers a structured school setting with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule aligned with the academic calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for elementary-aged students.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Ability to complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children, preferred.
Location and Schedule:
- Onsite position based in Harvey, LA.
- Full-time: 35 hours per week (7 hours/day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday following the school calendar.
