Speech-Language Pathologist in Kenner, LA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a vibrant K-12 school setting located in Kenner, LA. Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language assessments and interventions for K-12 students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop effective individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district policies.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
- Provide on-site services in assigned schools within the district, adapting therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in elementary settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location: Kenner, LA (Jefferson Parish Schools)
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours/day plus 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday following the school calendar.
