Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide school-based health services for the 2025–2026 academic year in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role supports students in grades K–12 by promoting wellness, managing chronic conditions, and responding to health needs during the school day. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and dedicated to fostering a safe, healthy learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid and emergency response

Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate health records

Monitor and manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student health needs

Conduct health screenings and support compliance with state immunization requirements

Promote health education and preventative care initiatives within the school community
Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana (required)

Current BSN certification preferred (will accept ASN)

Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
