Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Jefferson Parish Schools – New Orleans, LA Area
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day + 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Contract Dates: ASAP – May 22, 2026
Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking multiple full-time Speech-Language Pathologists to join their team for the current school year. These positions are based on-site, with the greatest need being at elementary campuses on the West Bank.
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide therapy and case management services to students with communication disorders, supporting their ability to access the academic environment. Candidates should be confident working within a school-based setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Caseload and Responsibilities

Provide direct therapy services to K–12 students, primarily elementary level

Conduct evaluations, write IEPs, and maintain compliance documentation

Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop effective treatment plans

Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews

Support students in developing speech, language, voice, and fluency skills
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required

Active Louisiana SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
Compensation
Pay is $40 per hour
