This opportunity involves serving primarily elementary schools on the west bank and requires onsite work to support students across the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students ranging in kindergarten through 12th grade, with a focus on elementary age groups
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy to address communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Experience working within a school setting is an asset
Work Schedule and Location:
- Located in the New Orleans, LA area, serving schools within one district
- 35 hours per week, typically 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- School assignments to be determined with a priority on elementary schools on the west bank
