Blazer Jobs is hiring a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support a school district in Harvey, Louisiana. This full-time position is available to both local clinicians seeking long-term, school-year placements and travel clinicians interested in flexible, high-paying assignments.
Position Overview:
As an SLP, you’ll provide therapy services to K–12 students, addressing a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and monitor student progress.
Employment Options:
1. Local Path (W-2 through Blazer Jobs):

Full school-year placement (August–May/June)

Weekly pay: $40–$52/hour, based on experience and credentials

2. Travel Path (W-2 with Perks or 1099):

Flexible, short-term contracts (4–12 weeks or by semester)

Weekly pay: $52–$60+/hour, depending on travel status and experience

Weekly gross: $1,900–$2,400, including tax-free stipends if eligible

Housing stipends, per diem, and travel reimbursement available

Licensure and credentialing assistance across states

Ideal for clinicians seeking higher compensation and flexibility
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech-language therapy to K–12 students in individual and group settings
-
Conduct speech-language evaluations, interpret results, and participate in eligibility meetings

Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with Louisiana state guidelines

Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure student success

Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Requirements:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
-
Active Louisiana SLP License (or eligibility to obtain)

ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
-
Previous school-based or pediatric experience is preferred

Must pass background and fingerprint checks
