Pediatric SLP in Decatur, AL
A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing maternity leave coverage at a K-12 school in Decatur, AL. This opportunity runs from April through May and focuses on delivering teletherapy and in-person services to preschool-aged children. The position offers a caseload of approximately 50 students and operates during standard school hours, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to preschool students in a school setting.
- Utilize teletherapy techniques alongside traditional methods to support student progress.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school guidelines.
- Participate in student assessments and provide recommendations for communication interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric clients, especially in educational settings.
- Previous experience with teletherapy services is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with children and school staff.
