School Speech Therapist | Hartford, Connecticut
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the upcoming school year in an elementary school setting in Hartford, CT. This role involves providing speech and language services across inclusion settings, supporting students with a range of disability categories. Two openings are available on a contract basis from the start date ASAP through June 9, 2026.
Responsibilities include delivering speech-language therapy to elementary students in general education and inclusive classrooms. The position is split between two elementary school sites, with specific locations to be determined. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, totaling 35 hours per week, and requires onsite presence.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP CCC required; consideration given to Clinical Fellows)
- Active Connecticut professional license for SLP practice
- School-based experience is essential
- Successful completion of district-required fingerprinting and background checks
- Ability to provide services to students with diverse speech and language needs within inclusive environments
- Comfort working across multiple sites with flexible scheduling
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered under this role
