A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Hartford, CT area, providing services across two elementary school sites. This contract role will run from ASAP through June 9, 2026, totaling 35 hours per week with work hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM Monday through Friday. The position serves a diverse student population within inclusive settings, covering a range of disability categories without specialized classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to students across two elementary schools, with site locations to be determined.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support individual student communication goals.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct speech therapy aligned with best practices in school settings.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in accordance with district policies.
- Participate in required meetings and communicate effectively with families and school personnel.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF) with active CT licensure.
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Connecticut mandatory.
- Experience working in school-based environments with diverse student populations.
- District fingerprint clearance and background checks required.
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) candidates will be considered.
- Zoom interview process as part of the selection.
Location: Hartford/New Britain, CT area, onsite in elementary school settings.
