This full-time speech-language pathologist position offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential services within an elementary school setting in New Britain, CT. The role is contracted for a full semester, starting ASAP and concluding on June 9, 2026, with two openings available. Responsibilities include delivering speech-language support across two elementary schools, with specific sites to be determined, working 35 hours per week, onsite from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language evaluations and therapeutic interventions in compliance with school-based protocols
  • Serve students with diverse disability categories within an inclusion environment, without specialized classrooms
  • Collaborate with educators and support personnel to promote student communication development
  • Maintain compliance with all district policies, including fingerprints and background checks
  • Participate in an initial Zoom interview as part of the hiring process

Qualifications:

  • Valid and active speech-language pathology license in Connecticut
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required; candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CF) may be considered
  • Proven school-based experience working with pediatric populations
  • Ability to manage caseload effectively across multiple elementary school sites
  • District fingerprint clearance and background check approval
  • No Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) candidates will be considered
