Speech-Language Pathologist in New Britain, CT
A leading elementary school in New Britain, CT is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support to students from PreK through 1st grade. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services to a caseload of 25-30 students.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of children in early elementary grades.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and promote effective communication skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational and clinical standards.
- Participate in team meetings and provide consultation as needed to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience working in school settings.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development for young children, specifically PreK to 1st grade.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while providing compassionate and effective therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with educators and families.
