A position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized therapy services for preschool-aged children in a variety of educational settings across York and Adams Counties, Pennsylvania.
Location: Carlisle, PA (Travel between multiple sites including York Learning Center in York, PA, and a site in New Oxford, PA)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to preschool students (ages 3-5) with special needs in diverse environments such as preschool special education classrooms, Head Start programs, PreK counts classes, daycares, and community preschools.
- Provide services to ‘walk-in’ students who come directly for therapy.
- Manage a caseload that will reach approximately 55 students by year-end.
- Participate in IEP meetings and complete paperwork approximately half a day per week.
- Follow the preschool stretch calendar, working about 188 days per year.
- Travel to various locations is required and included in the schedule.
- Supervision for Clinical Fellows (CF) will be provided by the agency; supervision cost applies.
- Early intervention preschool experience is preferred.
- Note: SLP Assistants (SLPAs) are not supported, and VOCO technology cannot be used for service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Pennsylvania certification for Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- Candidates at the Clinical Fellow level are welcome.
- Experience with early intervention programs is preferred.
- Ability to handle a full caseload with effective time management.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with educational teams and families.
