A rewarding opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist experienced in school settings to provide therapy services to preschool-aged children with special needs in Hanover, PA, and surrounding counties. This contract role offers the chance to work directly with young learners in diverse environments such as preschool special education classrooms, Head Start programs, PreK Counts classes, daycares, community preschools, and walk-in therapy sessions.
Location:
- York County (York Learning Center, 300 E Seventh Ave, York, PA)
- Adams County (65 Billerbeck St, New Oxford, PA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to preschool children ages 3 to 5 with various special needs
- Serve multiple locations within York and Adams Counties, traveling between facilities as needed
- Manage a caseload growing to 55 students by the end of the contract term
- Conduct therapy sessions, participate in IEP meetings, and allocate time for required paperwork (approximately half a day per week)
- Provide early intervention services consistent with preschool stretch calendar expectations (188 days/year)
- Follow supervision guidelines if a Clinical Fellow (CF) status, with agency-provided supervision
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current PA Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP preferred
- Experience in early intervention and preschool speech-language therapy preferred
- Ability to work approximately 35 hours per week, including travel across facilities
- Clinical Fellow (CF) candidates considered, with supervision provided
Additional Details:
- Position runs ASAP through June 2026
- Strict no use of VOCO services (although VOCO available on-site)
- SLPA support is not allowable in this role
