SLP in Carlisle, PA
A contracted position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized therapy services for preschool children with special needs in a K-12 school setting. This role involves working across multiple locations in Adams, York, and Franklin Counties in Pennsylvania, supporting early intervention programs. The assignment spans the current school year, with work scheduled for 188 days following a preschool stretch calendar.

- Franklin County: 2397 Loop Rd, Chambersburg, PA
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to preschool-aged children (3-5 years) in diverse environments including preschool special education classrooms, Head Start programs, Pre-K counts classes, daycares, and community preschools.
- Provide therapy to "walk-in" students brought in by parents.
- Manage a caseload of up to 55 students by the end of the school year.
- Dedicate half a day per week for documentation and participation in IEP meetings.
- Travel between multiple buildings as required, with travel time included in the work schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) as an SLP or eligibility as a Certificate of Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidate; supervision arrangements provided with agency covering supervision costs.
- Experience with early intervention and preschool-aged children preferred.
- Must hold Pennsylvania teaching certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- SLP Assistants (SLPAs) and vocal component use for therapy (VOCO) are not supported in this role.
This contract requires a commitment of 35 hours per week from ASAP through June 2026. The work is based out of a home location with travel to various sites throughout the assigned counties. Those who are passionate about early intervention and preschool speech therapy will find this role rewarding.
