School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full-Time (K-12) - Hamtramck, MI (2025-2026 SY)

We are actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a full-time position in Hamtramck, MI, for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse student population across all grade levels, from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Position Details:

  • Role: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Location: Hamtramck, MI
  • Grade Levels: K-12
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:50 AM - 3:15 PM
  • School Year: 2025-2026 Academic Year

Caseload:

  • You will manage a dynamic caseload of approximately 45 students.
  • The caseload will be evenly split, serving roughly half K-8th grade students and half high school students. This provides a diverse experience with various communication needs.

Key Responsibilities: As a vital member of our special education team, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Providing direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students with a wide range of communication disorders.
  • Participating in IEP meetings, MET (Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team) meetings, and other relevant school-based meetings.
  • Consulting with teachers, parents, and other school personnel regarding student communication needs and strategies.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Master's or higher degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Michigan SLP License (or eligibility to obtain before the start of the 2025-2026 school year).
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations, or strong clinical experience in a similar setting.
  • Excellent assessment, therapy planning, and intervention skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage and benefits package will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
