Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Newport News, VA
This full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position supports K-12 students in an elementary school setting for the 2025-2026 school year. The role requires onsite presence in Newport News, VA, working 35 hours per week throughout the full school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring for pediatric students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to support communication development and address speech disorders
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Virginia SLP license required
- Experience working with pediatric populations or school-aged students preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) highly desirable
- Knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices and pediatric speech-language pathology
- CCC-SLP certification is a plus
