Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Hammond, IN
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Hammond, IN. This role offers a full-time schedule working 37.5 hours a week, supporting elementary and middle school populations. The position starts in August 2026 (exact date to be determined) and concludes in May 2027 (exact date to be determined).
This position involves managing a caseload of 45-55 students. Two SLP roles are open:
- The first SLP will serve one elementary building and one middle school building.
- The second SLP will serve two middle school buildings.
Candidates must hold a current SLP certification and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology, with school-based experience preferred.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP credential and CCC in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience in school settings supporting elementary and middle school students.
- Ability to manage caseloads of 45-55 students effectively.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work across one to two school buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students in elementary and middle schools.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and provide professional input.
