A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support student communication development in a dynamic school setting in New Orleans, LA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, addressing a range of communication disorders
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans that comply with educational standards and best practices
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and track student performance over time
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP-CCC preferred)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings with pediatric populations
- Knowledge of Louisiana Department of Education protocols and educational requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work Monday through Thursday between 8:20 AM and 4:00 PM
Location and Schedule:
- Onsite position located in New Orleans, LA
- Contract duration through the remainder of the current school year with potential renewal for the following year
- Flexible hours within the designated Monday–Thursday timeframe
