Speech Therapist in Metairie, LA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in a K-12 school setting located in Metairie, LA. This contract role offers the opportunity to serve diverse student populations within an onsite-only environment, supporting either a PreK-8th or 4th-8th grade caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring for students in assigned caseloads.
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development.
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and district standards.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Caseload Options:
- PreK-8th grade with 50-60 students.
- 4th-8th grade with approximately 55 students. Candidates are encouraged to specify their preferred caseload when applying.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred but open to candidates completing Clinical Fellowship (CF).
- Experience working in school-based settings, especially with K-12 students.
