A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 public school setting located in Gretna, Louisiana. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site speech-language pathology services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement speech and language interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations
- Participate in meetings and offer consultation regarding communication disorders and therapy progress
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred but not mandatory
- Completion of district-required drug screening and fingerprinting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a school multidisciplinary team
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday following the school calendar
- On-site work at schools within the Gretna area, focusing on west bank elementary campuses
