SLP in Gretna, LA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available serving a K-12 school in Gretna, LA. This contract role offers an opportunity to work directly onsite supporting students from PreK through 8th grade with a focus on speech and language development.
The selected SLP will provide comprehensive evaluation and intervention services, collaborating closely with educators and families to meet individual student needs. There are two caseload options to consider, each with approximately 50-60 students:
- PreK–8th grade, caseload of 50-60 students
- 4th–8th grade, caseload of 55 students
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Delivering therapy services to students with diverse speech and language disorders
- Monitoring student progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintaining accurate documentation consistent with regulatory and district standards
Qualifications and preferences:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC preferred)
- Experience working in school settings with children in PreK-8th grade
- Ability to work onsite during regular school hours (37.5 hours/week)
- Open to candidates in Clinical Fellowship (CF) status
This position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 21, 2026. Candidates should be prepared to choose their preferred caseload at application.
