Virtual Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Oregon Schools
If you are a bilingual SLP interested in remote contract work, this role supports Oregon students who are English language learners or come from diverse linguistic backgrounds. You will conduct culturally and linguistically appropriate assessments and provide teletherapy that respects and incorporates students’ home languages. This 1099 position requires collaboration with school teams to distinguish between language differences and disorders, ensuring equitable speech-language support across Oregon’s schools.
Duties:

Conduct bilingual speech and language evaluations remotely.

Deliver teletherapy services in English and a second language.

Collaborate with educators on culturally responsive IEP goals.

Provide consultative services on second-language acquisition.

Participate in eligibility and re-evaluation meetings.

Train school staff on differentiating language difference vs. disorder.

Develop bilingual therapy materials and resources.

Support families with language-specific home practice strategies.

Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

Use telepractice technology to engage students effectively.

Assist with translation and interpretation as needed.

Document sessions and progress in both languages.

Collaborate with interpreters and cultural liaisons.

Address communication needs for dual language learners.

Participate in ongoing cultural competency training.

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
