Pediatric Speech Therapist in Carmel, IN

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Carmel, IN, offering a contract position through the current school year (CSY). The role focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to students ranging from preschool to 4th grade, with responsibilities shifting mid-year due to maternity leave coverage needs. This position allows for both onsite and virtual (Voco) work options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preschool caseload from the start date through the end of the semester, collaborating with two SLPs and one Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Support a caseload of approximately 90 students in grades K-4 from January through March alongside an SLPA and an SLP.
- From March until the end of the school year (May), cover maternity leave at a different K-4 school serving around 70 students, including functional academics classrooms, with SLPA assistance.
- Conduct speech and language assessments, provide therapy, write IEPs, manage reports and evaluations, attend meetings, and handle Medicaid billing tasks.
- Maintain compliance with state-specific licensure requirements.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Indiana (IN SLP).
- Experience in school-based settings, preferably with Pediatrics and CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) experience.
- Familiarity with working alongside SLP Assistants.
- Skilled in managing caseloads from preschool to elementary grades.
- Ability to work both onsite and virtually as needed.
