A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a 12-week maternity leave assignment within public schools in South Carolina. This contract role offers the chance to provide essential speech and language services to students during the school year, supporting their academic and communication development.

Positions Available:

  • Assignment 1: Brushy Creek Elementary School in Taylors, SC and Greenville Middle School in Greenville, SC
  • Assignment 2: Location to be determined; potential reassignment for the new school year

Assignment Dates: August 11, 2026 – November 3, 2026 (may include additional pre-planning days)
Hours: Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide therapy services to students identified with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support students’ academic success

Required Qualifications:

  • Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License
  • South Carolina Educator Certificate (pending certificates will be considered)
  • Experience working as an SLP within school settings is highly preferred
  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible; candidates in Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) may be considered
  • Candidates must be available to work onsite; virtual arrangements are not available for this position
