Job Overview
This is a full-time, school-based travel role with a Greensboro-area district. You’ll offer direct therapy services, collaborate with families, teachers, and staff, and support student communication across settings. Assignments typically follow the academic calendar, with room for extension or new assignments to follow.
What Does a Travel Contract Mean?
Travel SLP contracts are temporary assignments, usually lasting a semester or full academic year. These roles allow you to bring your expertise to districts in need, while enjoying non-taxed housing and meals/incidental stipends, competitive pay, and the chance to live somewhere new. Contracts may be extended or renewed, and when one ends, you can select a different location for your next assignment.
Responsibilities

Administer evaluations for speech, language, and communication needs as per district guidelines

Craft and implement IEP goals appropriate for each student

Provide therapy in both individual and group formats

Track student progress and maintain accurate and timely documentation

Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support improved student communication

Participate in IEP meetings and cross-team planning
Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

NC state licensure (or eligibility before start)

CCC-SLP preferred; CFY candidates welcome

Experience in school-based or pediatric environments a plus

Excellent communication and organizational skills
