Speech-Language Pathologist in Green Cove Springs, FL
This opportunity is for Speech Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) to provide essential therapy services across multiple school settings in St. Augustine, FL. Positions available include part-time and full-time roles supporting children from Pre-K through 12th grade, with options to work in elementary schools or a private school. Services will begin in early January and continue through the end of May.
Locations and Assignments:
- Crookshank Elementary: Working with Pre-K to 5th-grade students three days per week, with potential for a fourth day. Collaboration with two full-time SLPs on site.
- Durbin Creek Elementary: Maternity short-term coverage for Pre-K through 5th grade students, five days per week from mid-March to late May. This site has both full-time and part-time SLP colleagues.
- Veritas Classical School (private): Itinerant position providing small group therapy (2-4 students) for Kindergarten through 12th grade, approximately 5 hours per week. Therapy is the primary focus with minimal meetings and includes documentation of student progress.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathologist license is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children in diverse educational settings.
- Ability to manage caseloads, conduct assessments, and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff and families.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy interventions tailored to individual student goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
- Participate in team meetings as required (minimal for some assignments).
- Adapt therapy delivery to varying school environments and student needs.
