This opportunity seeks skilled Speech Language Pathologists to support K-12 students at multiple schools within the St. Johns County area of Florida. The positions are contract-based for the current school year, providing an essential role in advancing student communication and language development.
Locations and Assignments:
- Crookshank Elementary: PreK-5th grade, 3 days per week with potential for 4 days due to caseload growth. Work alongside two full-time SLPs.
- Durbin Creek Elementary: PreK-5th grade, maternity short-term coverage from mid-March through May 29, full-time 5 days per week. Collaborate with other SLPs on site.
- Veritas Classical School (Private): Kindergarten through 12th grade, 5 hours per week starting in January through mid-May. Focus on small group therapy with minimal meetings and direct documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy tailored to each student's assessed needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members about student development.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathologist license required.
- Experience in school settings preferred.
- Ability to work part-time or full-time hours based on school assignment.
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations across age groups.
