Virtual SLP Position | Grand Rapids, Michigan Schools

What This Role Involves:
- Managing a virtual caseload of approximately 40-50 students spanning grades K-8
- Providing 35-37.5 hours of weekly service delivery through teletherapy platforms
- Addressing articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders in a remote format
- Working with students receiving special education services across various disability categories
- Conducting evaluations, writing reports, and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
Your Responsibilities Include
You'll be responsible for evaluating students referred for speech-language services and determining eligibility for support services. Creating engaging, effective therapy sessions adapted for virtual delivery is key, as is maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations. You'll develop treatment plans that address individual student needs and learning styles while providing progress updates to parents and educational teams regularly. Supporting students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and collaborating with occupational therapists, teachers, and other specialists rounds out your role.
What You'll Need
Active Michigan SLP license and current ASHA CCC-SLP certification are mandatory. Your Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology combined with 2+ years of school-based experience prepares you for this opportunity. Strong communication skills for virtual parent and team collaboration are essential, along with the technical capability to deliver services remotely with appropriate equipment and internet access.
