Speech Language Pathologist in Charleston, SC
Seeking a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services within a K-12 setting in Charleston, SC. This full-time contract position spans the current school year, offering a unique opportunity to support students across two elementary schools while covering medical and maternity leaves. The role requires an active South Carolina state license in speech pathology and certification (SLP-CCC), with no exceptions for pending licensure, CFs, or SLPAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to general education students, resource students, and low incidence programs.
- Manage caseloads including ages across elementary grades, supporting communication needs in different school environments.
- Transition mid-year from Dunston Elementary to a West Ashley elementary school, maintaining full caseload responsibilities.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes according to school policies.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina licensure in speech-language pathology.
- SLP-CCC required; no Clinical Fellows or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including low incidence and autism spectrum programs, preferred.
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
