A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available to provide essential support to K-12 students in Charleston, SC. This role focuses on delivering direct speech and language services to diverse student populations while covering medical and maternity leave assignments within local elementary schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy to students in general education, resource settings, and specialized Low Incidence programs.
  • Support students with communication needs, including those with Autism and complex speech impairments.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state licensure and district policies.
  • Transition smoothly between assigned schools to ensure continuity of care throughout the contract duration.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active South Carolina state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC required; Clinical Fellows and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants not eligible).
  • Experience serving school-aged children, preferably with exposure to Low Incidence and resource programs.
  • Ability to manage caseloads independently and adapt to varying educational environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position begins promptly and continues through the end of the 2025-2026 school year, concluding May 29, 2026.
  • Assignments include Dunston Elementary through May, then shifting to an elementary school in West Ashley to cover a maternity leave.
  • Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, onsite in Charleston, SC.
