A school-based speech-language professional position is available at an elementary school in Denver, CO, on a contract basis to cover a leave of absence. This role is ideal for clinicians skilled in providing speech-language pathology services within an educational setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a focus on school-based services
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school environment
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language treatment plans
- Familiarity with educational protocols and collaboration with teachers and support staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and staff effectively
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language screenings and evaluations for elementary students
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy sessions targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes and reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning as required
