A School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services at an elementary school location in Mesa, AZ. This position is a leave coverage assignment, supporting a general education caseload of approximately 30 students. The role involves working 22.5 hours per week across three days, following a 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule. The contract duration spans from January 21, 2025, through April 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide intervention services to students in grades K-5.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans.
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Certification specific to Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card and Health License as required.
- Experience working in public elementary school settings preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30 general education students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Location & Schedule:
- Position based at a Mesa, AZ elementary school.
- Onsite presence required; remote work is not available.
- 22.5 hours per week (3 days), scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
