School Speech and Language Pathologist | Glen Burnie, Maryland
An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to serve K-12 students across multiple schools in Kent County, MD. This full-time, itinerant contract position offers the chance to work within diverse educational settings, providing essential speech therapy services that support students’ communication and learning needs.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday
- Hours vary by school level: Elementary School (8:30 am–3:50 pm) and High School (7:45 am–2:45 pm)
- Caseload: Itinerant across 5 different schools within the county
- Location: Primarily Rock Hall, MD, with travel among schools in the area
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech therapy services focused on improving student communication
- Conduct speech and language assessments and testing
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meetings to develop appropriate goals and interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with appropriate credentials
- Experience working within a school setting preferred, especially with K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment, and intervention
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills for managing a varied caseload across multiple sites
