About the Role:
This is a part-time, remote position requiring 18 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as the school year progresses. The caseload includes students between the ages of 5 and 21, many with varying levels of communication needs. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support students' communication development, academic access, and social success.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing direct virtual therapy, consulting with staff and families, and contributing to the development and maintenance of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). There is also an expectation to attend and participate in virtual IEP meetings as a key member of the support team.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Deliver engaging and effective teletherapy sessions to students with diverse speech and language needs
-
Address the needs of verbal, nonverbal, and deaf students—including those who require sign language communication
-
Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, and school-based teams to integrate therapy goals across settings
-
Develop, implement, and monitor progress on individualized therapy plans
-
Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight and data-driven recommendations
-
Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with district and state standards
-
Offer support and coaching to onsite staff, including paraprofessionals who facilitate therapy sessions
Support Structure:
-
A dedicated paraprofessional is assigned to assist with session facilitation and student engagement
-
Clinical and technical support provided by ProCare Therapy’s internal team
-
Ongoing collaboration with special education teams, service providers, and school administrators
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Active state SLP license(s) required (must align with both location of residency and where services are delivered)
-
ASHA CCCs strongly preferred; CFs with strong backgrounds may be considered
-
Prior experience in school-based settings and/or virtual therapy is highly desirable
-
Comfortable working with students across a broad age range and diverse needs
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students is a significant plus
-
Technologically competent and confident in using teletherapy platforms
