Speech and Language Pathologist in Crescent City, CA
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist is needed for a K-12 school in Crescent City, CA, to provide essential support to students throughout the school year. This contract position involves working 37.5 hours per week, focusing on delivering direct therapy services and contributing to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct direct speech and language therapy sessions with students across K-12 grade levels
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Write, update, and manage IEP documentation to ensure compliance with educational standards
- Test, assess, and evaluate students’ speech and language needs to develop appropriate treatment plans
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois SSW License (required)
- Experience working as a speech language pathologist in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of K-12 speech and language therapy strategies and compliance with special education regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
