Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two full-time onsite SLPs are needed to provide therapy and support across elementary and middle school settings near Gary, IN. Beginning August 12, 2026, and continuing through May 26, 2027, you'll work 37.5 hours per week, fostering growth and development within a vibrant student community.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license for schools.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred.
- Comfort and skill working with elementary and/or middle school populations.
- Proven ability to effectively manage caseloads of 45–55 students.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to assigned students according to their IEPs.
- SLP 1: Provide services at one elementary and one middle school building.
- SLP 2: Serve students at two middle school buildings.
- Complete assessments, progress reports, and documentation within required timelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized student needs.
- Communicate with caregivers and educators to foster positive student outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
