A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students within a school setting in Carson City, NV. This contract position begins for the 2025-2026 school year and offers the opportunity to work directly with students with Autism as well as younger children in self-contained and speech-only programs during a maternity leave period.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech-language evaluation and therapy services for students with Autism at one primary site (approximately 14 students)
- Supporting self-contained pre-kindergarten and speech-only students during maternity leave, expanding to cover up to three sites temporarily
- Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized student goals
- Maintaining accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid NV DOE teaching license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with school-age children, including students with Autism
- Strong communication and organizational skills essential for effective collaboration and service delivery
This role offers flexibility with part-time hours initially ranging from 1-2 days per week, expanding during the maternity leave assignment. Interviews will be conducted remotely with panel format options, facilitating a smooth application process.
