Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for full time roles in public school districts serving Gainesville, GA. Join a supportive staffing partner and help students Pre K through grade 12 meet communication and swallowing goals in school-based settings.


Qualifications

Candidates must meet Georgia certification or licensure standards, including:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology from a GaPSC approved or ASHA accredited program

  • Passing score on the Praxis (Speech Language Pathology) content knowledge assessment, as required by Georgia PSC

  • Submission of one of the following for school-based practice:

  • Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Clear Renewable Service Certificate in Speech & Language Pathology (Pre K–12), or

  • Georgia state licensure issued by the Board of Speech Language Pathology & Audiology, which requires:

  • Completion of supervised clinical practicum during graduate study (minimum 375 direct service hours + 25 observation hours),

  • Paid professional experience,

  • National examination (Praxis),

  • Good moral character and recency of practice or education,

  • FBI and state fingerprint-based background check

  • Note: For public school employment (Pre K–12) in Georgia, GaPSC certification suffices without state licensure when providing non-billed services 


    Responsibilities

    As a Speech Language Pathologist in this role, you will:

  • Conduct speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing evaluations

  • Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans

  • Provide individual and small-group evidence-based services

  • Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation

  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and parent conferences

  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and administrators

  • Serve as a resource on communication strategies and referrals

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure quality and support contract renewal
