Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - San Mateo, CA
A contract opportunity is available for experienced Speech Language Pathologists to provide specialized services in a school setting located in San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on Pre-K intake assessments and FMLA coverage at an elementary school, with a contract extending through June 3, 2026. Candidates must hold current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and offer on-site services exclusively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pre-K intake speech and language assessments with a focus on early identification and intervention
- Provide speech therapy services as part of FMLA coverage for an elementary school caseload
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district, state, and professional standards
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA)
- Clear or professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not required
- Minimum experience in school-based speech-language pathology; Clinical Fellows will not be considered
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual abilities strongly preferred
- Ability to work on-site; remote work is not permitted for this position
