Speech Pathology - Fremont, CA
Providing specialized speech and language therapy services within K-12 educational settings, this role focuses on supporting students’ communication development to enhance their academic success. The position is full-time (0.8 FTE) for a full school year and primarily serves at the elementary level across multiple schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Provide guidance and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), including forwarding Clinical Fellowship (CF) numbers as required.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent experience.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credential for school settings.
- Previous experience working with children in K-12 educational environments preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students and school staff.
